Digressive Damping
The key difference between the DS Series and the more road-focused BR Series is the digressive damper design.

The DS-DA configuration uses aluminium front top mounts with pillowball centres where applicable, alongside aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres or no rear top mounts depending on the vehicle application.
Spring-rate configurations shown for the BMW E81/E87 application include:
- 8 / 12kg/mm
- 14 / 12kg/mm
- 10 / 12kg/mm
- 7 / 10kg/mm
Other application-specific configurations may also be available.
DS-DS
The DS-DS configuration uses aluminium front top mounts with rubber centres and aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres or no rear top mounts depending on application.
The DS-DS configuration shown for this application uses:
- Front: 5.5kg/mm
- Rear: 8kg/mm
This provides a more road-friendly spring-rate combination while retaining the digressive damping characteristics of the DS Series.
Choosing the Right Configuration
The most suitable setup depends on how the car is used.
A lower spring-rate setup such as 5.5/8kg.mm can provide a better balance for road and mixed-use cars, while higher spring-rate options are more appropriate for increasingly track-focused setups.
