True Rear Coilover Conversion
The main difference between this kit and the standard BC Racing E36 M3 DS Series setup is the rear suspension configuration.
The standard E36 rear suspension uses a divorced layout, with the rear spring and damper mounted separately.
With the True Rear configuration, the spring is mounted concentrically around the rear damper, creating a complete rear coilover assembly.
This provides a more conventional motorsport-style layout and can make spring changes and setup development more straightforward on track-focused cars.
Digressive Damping Technology
The defining feature of the DS Series is its digressive damping design.
The damper provides increased control during lower-speed suspension movements, such as body roll, pitch, braking dive and weight transfer during acceleration and cornering.
