Digressive Damper Technology

The key difference with the BC Racing DS Series is its digressive damping profile.

Digressive damping provides stronger control during lower-speed suspension movements such as braking, acceleration, turn-in and weight transfer, helping the S2000 remain flatter and more composed when driven hard.

At higher damper velocities, the damping curve becomes less aggressive, helping the suspension absorb sharper bumps and surface changes without relying purely on excessively stiff spring rates.

DS-DA configurations introduce a more direct pillowball front mounting arrangement, while the Extra Low version is designed specifically for drivers looking for a greater reduction in ride height.

The DS-DH range provides a more performance-focused pillowball mounting specification, with spring-rate options ranging from the more compliant 8/6kg.mm setup through to the significantly firmer 12/10kg.mm and Extra Low 12/12kg.mm configurations.

DS-DS Configuration

The DS-DS configuration is supplied with aluminium front top mounts using rubber centres.

Depending on the rear application, aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres may also be supplied, or the appropriate original rear mounting arrangement may be retained.

This makes the DS-DS specification particularly suitable for drivers wanting the benefits of digressive damping while retaining greater road refinement.

DS-DA Configuration

The DS-DA configuration is supplied with aluminium front top mounts featuring pillowball centres.

Where suspension design allows, the front mounts can provide camber adjustment while creating a more direct connection between the suspension and chassis.

Depending on the rear application, aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres may also be supplied, or no replacement rear top mount may be required.

DS-DH Configuration

The DS-DH configuration is supplied with aluminium camber-adjustable pillowball front top mounts where available, with pillowball rear mounting or no replacement rear top mount depending on the application.

This provides a more direct and performance-focused mounting arrangement, making DS-DH particularly suited to track-day and motorsport-focused S2000 builds.

Extra Low Options

Extra Low configurations are designed specifically around a greater reduction in ride height rather than simply lowering a standard kit beyond its intended adjustment range.

Available Extra Low options include:

• DS-DA Extra Low – 10/10kg.mm

• DS-DH Extra Low – 12/12kg.mm

These are better suited to vehicles where achieving a significantly lower ride height is a priority.

Adjustable Ride Height & Damping

Ride height can be adjusted independently of spring preload, helping retain usable damper travel when lowering the vehicle.
