The BC Racing DS Series Coilovers for the Mini F56 with Dynamic Damper Control (DDC) are a performance-focused suspension upgrade designed for drivers looking for sharper handling, improved chassis control and greater suspension adjustability.
Developed specifically for F56 models equipped with DDC, the DS Series combines BC Racing’s coilover platform with digressive damping technology, providing greater control over the suspension response while allowing the ride height and damping characteristics to be tailored to the car and driver.

F56 DDC Suspension Upgrade
The BC Racing DS Series provides a significant upgrade in suspension adjustability for F56 DDC models.
By replacing the factory DDC dampers with adjustable coilovers, you gain control over ride height and damping characteristics, allowing the suspension to be developed around other handling modifications such as performance tyres, uprated anti-roll bars, polyurethane bushes, strut braces and performance alignment settings.
For predominantly road-driven F56s, a sensible ride height and moderate damping setting can provide a strong balance between handling and everyday usability. For cars that regularly see track time, the DS Series allows the suspension to be tuned more specifically around tyre choice, alignment and circuit conditions.
After fitting the coilovers or making significant ride-height changes, we recommend having the vehicle professionally aligned.
Digressive Damping Technology
One of the main advantages of the DS Series is its digressive damping technology.
The damper is designed to provide strong control during lower-speed suspension movements, such as weight transfer during braking, acceleration and cornering, while allowing damping forces to reduce as shaft speed increases.
This can provide a controlled and responsive feel during spirited driving while allowing the suspension to react more effectively to bumps, kerbs and changes in road surface.

Important: DDC Compatibility
This kit is specifically intended for Mini F56 models originally equipped with Dynamic Damper Control (DDC).
Replacing the factory DDC suspension with conventional coilovers means the original electronically controlled damping function will no longer operate as it did with the factory dampers. Please ensure your vehicle has the correct DDC-equipped suspension configuration before ordering.
