Upgrade the suspension of your Renault Megane IV RS BBM5P with the BC Racing DS Series coilover kit, designed for drivers looking for a more performance-focused setup for fast-road, track day and motorsport use.
The DS Series uses BC Racing’s digressive damper technology to provide increased low-speed damping force for improved body control, steering response and chassis support while retaining greater compliance over sharper bumps and higher-speed suspension movements.
For this Megane IV RS application, three DS-DA spring-rate configurations are available.
Digressive Damper Technology
The key difference with the BC Racing DS Series is its digressive damping profile.
Digressive damping provides stronger control during lower-speed suspension movements such as braking, acceleration, turn-in and weight transfer, helping the Megane remain flatter and more composed when driven hard.
At higher damper velocities, the damping curve becomes less aggressive, helping the suspension deal with sharper bumps and surface changes without relying purely on excessively stiff spring rates.

Spring Rate Options
Available configurations include:
DS-DA – 6/5kg.mm – recommended spring rate for a balance of comfort and performance
Alternative configurations include:

DS-DA – 9/7kg.mm – firmer performance-focused setup

DS-DA – 10/7kg.mm – more track-focused setup with increased front-end support
The recommended 6/5kg.mm setup provides the strongest all-round balance for road and fast-road use, improving chassis control and response while retaining a more usable level of compliance.
The 9/7kg.mm option increases spring rate at both ends for drivers wanting a firmer and more responsive setup without going to the stiffest available configuration.
The 10/7kg.mm option provides the highest front spring rate of the three, making it better suited to more demanding track use where reduced front-end movement and increased support under braking and cornering are priorities.

DS-DA Configuration
The DS-DA configuration is supplied with aluminium front top mounts featuring pillowball centres.
Where the suspension design allows, front camber adjustment may also be available through the top mounts, while the more direct mounting arrangement helps improve steering response and chassis feedback.
Depending on the rear suspension application, aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres may also be supplied, or no replacement rear top mount may be required.
Adjustable Ride Height & Damping
Ride height can be adjusted independently of spring preload, helping retain usable damper travel when lowering the vehicle.
The 30-way damping adjustment allows the suspension response to be fine-tuned according to road conditions, driver preference and intended use, from fast-road driving through to more demanding circuit work.

The DS-DA 6/5kg.mm recommended setup provides the best all-round balance, while the 9/7kg.mm and 10/7kg.mm alternatives offer progressively firmer configurations for more focused fast-road and track applications.

Professional installation is recommended.
A full four-wheel alignment should also be carried out after installation and once the final ride height has been set to ensure correct geometry, tyre wear and handling characteristics.
Where pillowball or adjustable top mounts are fitted, suspension geometry should be set by a competent specialist to suit the intended use of the vehicle.
