R53 Mini Cooper Suspension Upgrade
The BC Racing RM Series gives R53 owners significantly greater control over their suspension than the standard setup. Ride height and damping can be adjusted to complement other chassis modifications such as performance tyres, upgraded anti-roll bars, polyurethane bushes, adjustable suspension arms and performance alignment settings.

RM Series Maintenance Requirements
The increased performance of the RM Series does come with an additional maintenance requirement compared with more conventional coilover designs.

BC Racing recommends maintaining the inverted shock absorbers to ensure the system continues to operate as intended, particularly on vehicles that see frequent track use or are exposed to harsh road conditions.
For this reason, the RM Series is best suited to owners who are prepared to carry out the additional maintenance associated with a high-performance suspension system. Keeping the dampers clean, inspecting them regularly and following BC Racing's recommended maintenance schedule will help maximise their performance and service life.
If you're looking for a lower-maintenance setup for predominantly road use, the BC Racing BR or DS Series may be more appropriate depending on your requirements.
