EBC Brakes Pad and Disc Kit (PD09KF407) (Front)

EBC Bluestuff Pads

• Rotor Condition

  • Ensuring rotors are in near-perfect flat condition is crucial, as uneven, grooved, or ribbed surfaces can triple bed-in times for both street and track use.
  • EBC Yellowstuff is a harder, more durable pad, requiring smooth rotors for optimal performance.
  • If resurfacing is needed, EBC strongly recommends using high-quality ON-CAR brake lathes from Pro-Cut for the best results.

• Pad Lifetime

  • Track Use: Inspect pads every 30 laps and replace them when the friction material reaches 3mm (1/8 inch) to prevent brake fade.
  • Street Use: Expect a significantly longer lifespan—20,000 miles or more, even under aggressive driving conditions.

• Cooling & Caliper Drag

  • Simply installing a race pad does not instantly make a street brake system track-ready.
  • Additional cooling ducts may be necessary to prevent excessive heat buildup and extend pad and rotor life during racing conditions.

• Using Bluestuff NDX as a Street-Only Pad

  • In Europe, brake pads must meet ECE R90 certification for legal road use.
  • Bluestuff is not R90 approved for all vehicles—check approval status before using it on public roads.

Partnered with USR Slotted Discs

The advantages of degassing and ensuring even, smooth pad wear make sport rotors an excellent choice; however, it's crucial to opt for a fully matched brake system rather than relying solely on a slotted rotor for improved performance. When paired with high-friction EBC Redstuff, Greenstuff, or Yellowstuff brake pads, these rotors deliver superior stopping power.

The unique slot design of the EBC USR Series has become a favorite among drivers seeking enhanced sport braking with minimal air noise. This refined slot pattern not only effectively promotes pad degassing and clears dirt, dust, water, and debris from the braking area but also ensures quieter operation.

All EBC rotors, including the USR Slotted Rotors, are proudly manufactured in the UK and USA with precision machining. Crafted from premium, R90-approved grey iron disc blanks, each rotor is produced to the highest standards and undergoes extensive testing and rigorous quality control. When paired with a matching high-friction brake pad set, these slotted rotors can substantially enhance braking performance and extend component longevity. With hundreds of thousands of brake kits sold, EBC Brakes is confident that our approach represents the pinnacle of brake system engineering.
