How to Use Gtechniq W3 Ceramic GWash
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Use out of direct sunlight.
- Ensure the vehicle surface is cold.
- Add 20ml of W3 to an empty wash bucket.
- Add 10 litres of cold water.
- Begin washing from the upper surfaces and work downwards.
- Rinse the wash mitt thoroughly in cold water after dirty panels.
- Continue around the vehicle.
- Rinse the vehicle thoroughly with clean cold water.
- Ensure all surfactants are fully removed.
Why Use Cold Water?
Gtechniq specifically recommends cold water for:
- Mixing
- Mitt rinsing
- Final rinsing
This helps the product perform consistently and reduces the chance of the ceramic content interacting poorly with heat.
Start from the Top
Always begin with the cleaner upper panels and work downwards.
This helps avoid transferring heavier contamination from lower sections onto cleaner areas.
Rinse the Wash Mitt Thoroughly
After cleaning dirtier panels, rinse the wash mitt thoroughly in cold water.
This is particularly important with ceramic shampoos, as contamination should not remain trapped within the fibres.
Enhanced Hydrophobic Protection
W3 can also be used for an additional hydrophobic boost.
For this method:
- Use no more than 10ml of product
- Apply a small amount directly to a WM2 Microfibre Wash Mitt
- Work one panel at a time
- Rinse the mitt thoroughly after dirty sections
- Rinse the vehicle completely with cold water afterwards
This method helps maximise the ceramic protection left behind.
