MMX 3-piece Complete Underbody Chassis Brace Set | Mini F56

MMX 3-Piece Complete Underbody Chassis Brace Set – MINI F56

Transform the underside rigidity and overall chassis response of your MINI F56 with the MMX 3-Piece Complete Underbody Chassis Brace Set.

Designed to replace all three factory steel underbody braces, this complete MMX package includes front, centre and rear billet aluminium braces for a comprehensive chassis reinforcement upgrade.

Each brace is machined from lightweight billet T-6061 aluminium and profiled to remove unnecessary material while retaining strength and rigidity. The redesigned shape also provides additional clearance for larger-diameter aftermarket exhaust systems, making the kit particularly well suited to modified MINI Cooper S and John Cooper Works builds.

For road, fast-road and track-focused MINIs, the complete three-piece set provides the most comprehensive MMX underbody bracing package available for the platform.

Why Upgrade All Three Underbody Braces?

The MINI F56 uses three underbody braces to help tie different sections of the chassis together.

The standard steel components are functional, but MMX developed its billet replacements to improve:

• Chassis rigidity
• Dynamic response
• Exhaust clearance
• Underbody strength
• Weight efficiency
• Overall appearance

Replacing all three braces provides a more complete solution than upgrading only one section of the chassis.

Complete Front, Centre & Rear Reinforcement

Rather than strengthening only one section of the underbody, the complete kit replaces all three OEM braces.

This gives you:

Front Brace

Helps reinforce the forward underbody section and improve front-end chassis response.

Centre Brace

Strengthens the central tunnel area while providing additional clearance around larger exhaust systems.

Rear Brace

Reinforces the rear underbody and helps provide a more stable platform for the rear suspension.

Working together, the three braces provide a more comprehensive increase in underbody rigidity.

Increased Chassis Rigidity

The body shell is subjected to significant loads during:

• Hard braking
• Acceleration
• Cornering
• Direction changes
• Uneven road conditions

Any flex within the structure can reduce how accurately the suspension responds to driver input.

The MMX brace set helps reinforce the underbody and provide a more stable structure for the suspension to work from.

Potential benefits include:

• Sharper chassis response
• More predictable handling
• Improved steering consistency
• Greater rear-end stability
• Better suspension feedback

Improved Dynamic Performance

MMX developed the braces to increase stiffness and improve the dynamic behaviour of the MINI on both road and track.

With less unwanted chassis movement, the car can feel:

• More connected
• More precise
• More responsive
• More stable

The benefit becomes increasingly relevant as grip levels and suspension performance are increased elsewhere.

Increased Exhaust Clearance

One of the most practical advantages of the MMX brace system is additional clearance for larger-diameter exhaust systems.

The factory braces can become restrictive when fitting modified exhaust pipework.

Insufficient clearance can result in:

• Exhaust contact
• Rattling
• Vibration
• Reduced underbody clearance
• Removal of factory bracing

MMX specifically designed the billet braces to maintain chassis reinforcement while providing the additional clearance required by larger exhaust systems.

Ideal for Performance Exhaust Systems

The complete brace kit is particularly useful on MINIs fitted with:

• Larger-diameter cat-back exhausts
• Performance mid-pipes
• Upgraded resonated systems
• Track-focused exhausts
• Custom exhaust configurations

Rather than compromising chassis reinforcement to make room for the exhaust, the MMX system allows both upgrades to coexist.

Billet T-6061 Aluminium Construction

Each brace is machined from billet T-6061 aluminium.

This provides a strong combination of:

• High rigidity
• Low weight
• Structural strength
• Precision
• Corrosion resistance

The billet construction also allows MMX to carefully profile each component to remove material where it is not structurally required.

Optimised Lightweight Design

The factory steel braces are relatively simple pressed components.

MMX machines each replacement brace to remove unnecessary material while maintaining the rigidity and strength required for performance use.

This creates a component that is both lighter and more purposeful.

Gloss-Black Anodised Finish

All three braces are supplied in a gloss-black anodised finish.

This provides:

• Surface protection
• Corrosion resistance
• Durable appearance
• Premium underbody finish

Because all three components match, the complete set also gives the underside of the MINI a much cleaner and more cohesive appearance.

Maintains Ride Quality

Increasing chassis stiffness does not necessarily mean sacrificing road comfort.

MMX states that the improved dynamic performance of its brace system is achieved without compromising ride quality or introducing additional noise, vibration or harshness into the cabin.

This makes the kit suitable for:

• Daily-driven cars
• Fast-road builds
• Weekend performance cars
• Track-day MINIs

Ideal Supporting Upgrade for Suspension

The complete brace set works particularly well alongside other chassis modifications.

Compatible upgrades include:

• Lowering springs
• Sport dampers
• Coilovers
• Adjustable droplinks
• Uprated anti-roll bars
• Performance bushes
• Spherical bearings
• Chassis reinforcement components

A stiffer chassis helps suspension components operate from a more stable structural base.

Ideal for Lowered Cars

Lowered MINIs often use:

• Stiffer springs
• Uprated dampers
• Larger anti-roll bars
• Higher-grip tyres

These modifications increase the forces transferred through the chassis.

Adding the complete MMX brace set helps reinforce the structure and complement the rest of the suspension setup.

Fast-Road Benefits

For a fast-road MINI, the complete three-piece kit provides a strong balance of performance and usability.

Potential benefits include:

• Improved chassis feedback
• More precise handling
• Increased rigidity
• Better suspension consistency
• Increased exhaust clearance
• No permanent modifications

This makes it particularly well suited to enthusiast-owned F56 builds.

Track-Day Benefits

On track, the vehicle experiences much higher cornering, braking and acceleration forces than during normal road driving.

Reducing structural movement can help provide more consistent suspension behaviour during repeated high-load driving.

The MMX brace kit is therefore a strong supporting upgrade for cars running:

• Performance tyres
• Semi-slick tyres
• Coilovers
• Uprated anti-roll bars
• Performance geometry
• Lightweight wheels
• Upgraded brakes

Complete Kit vs Individual Braces

MMX offers the front, centre and rear braces separately.

This allows owners to upgrade individual sections if required.

However, the complete three-piece kit is the better choice for owners looking for maximum underbody reinforcement.

Individual Brace Upgrade

Best suited to:

• Specific exhaust clearance requirements
• Gradual chassis upgrades
• Replacing one factory brace

Complete Three-Piece Kit

Best suited to:

• Comprehensive chassis reinforcement
• Fast-road builds
• Track-focused cars
• Complete underbody upgrade
• Matching front, centre and rear components

Direct OE Replacement

All three MMX braces are designed as full replacements for the corresponding factory components.

The kit uses the existing underbody mounting points.

No fabrication is required.

No Drilling or Trim Removal Required

MMX confirms the brace system installs using the existing body mounting points, with:

• No drilling
• No trim removal
• No permanent modification

This makes installation straightforward and completely reversible.

Fully Reversible

Because the chassis is not permanently altered, the original steel braces can be refitted at any point.

This makes the complete MMX kit suitable for owners who want a significant chassis upgrade without permanently modifying the vehicle.

MINI F54 Clubman

MMX lists the complete brace set as compatible with the MINI F54 Clubman.
